Initially, I thought that Mexican Indians meant Indians who had joined the Cherokee from Mexico, but I later learned that a group of Cherokee had settled across.

That was the reason I picked up Tecumseh: A Life. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and highly recommend it to anyone interested in the tribes of the Ohio River, and specifically, the life of Tecumseh and his leadership among the Native American Nations. The book is excellently researched and the detail is by: The journey reminded of a book that’s been on my want list for years: Tecumseh’s Bones by Guy St-Denis.

I’ve just spent my holiday break devouring it. And in the process of appreciating St-Denis’s meticulous scholarship, I began to understand exactly how ideas without any basis in truth can evolve into a generally accepted history. This is a great book to read not only to learn about Tecumseh, but his brother, "The Prophet", the inter-tribal intricacies of pre America, the inner workings of the British and American States, and how it all came together (sadly) in the War of - /5.
