Boundary integral equations are a classical tool for the analysis of boundary value problems for partial differential equations. The term “ boundary element method” (BEM) denotes any method for the approximate numerical solution of these boundary integral equations. The boundary element method (BEM) is an alternative numerical approach to solve linear partial differential equations if these can be formulated as integral equations (i.e. in boundary integral form) [4]. The main application field for BEM in vehicle noise and vibration refinement is sound radiation simulation of engine, exhaust shell, etc.
